His teachers included Lamar Crowson, Danie Smit, Makkie Loubser, Nancy Hofmeyer, Betsie Cluver and Neil Solomon. He has also been musical director for three theatre productions presented by the Claremont Colleges (California) involving the first performances of music by the American composer Tom Flaherty. His first commercial CD was recently released in November this year.
Pieter balances his love for music with a passion for theatre. He trained in the Mime Corporel technique and philosophy of French theatre-master Etienne Decroux, performing for three years throughout UK and Europe in the theatre company, Theatre de l’Ange Fou. As musician and actor, Pieter has worked throughout South Africa as well as Zimbabwe, Britain, Belgium, France, Greece and California. He holds his Advanced 1 certificate in the Cecchetti Method.
