CECCHETTI INTERNATIONAL CLASSICAL BALLET COMPETITION TO BE HELD IN MANCHESTER, 2011
ENTRY CRITERIA
A candidate is required to have passed the Advanced I examination in the Cecchetti Method by the time of the Competition in Manchester, UK, 28 July 2011
A candidate, who has undergone the official audition/selection process of the Cecchetti Society Faculty in his/her particular country of residence, may participate in the Cecchetti International-Classical Ballet Competition.
Age: Minimum age requirement - None
Maximum age requirement – candidates may not have turned 20 on the commencement date of the Cecchetti International–Classical Ballet Competition in Manchester, UK. (i.e. 28 July 2011)

CECCHETTI SOCIETY FACULTY UK SUMMER SCHOOLS
Two Cecchetti Society Faculty UK summer schools will run alongside the competition, from Monday, 25 July until Friday, 29 July 2011, one for vocational students and one for teachers. The summer schools will be held in the studios in Manchester and registration will occur on either Saturday, 23 or Sunday, 24 July (to be advised).

REPERTOIRE STIPULATIONS
A candidate is required to present his/her own choice of one classical repertoire variation from the Ballets, which is not protected by copyright.
A full costume or the alternative of a Tutu Basque or Romantic Tutu skirt (as appropriate) is to be worn for the variation.
TIME TABLE
Day 1
Unset class followed by private coaching of each candidate’s prepared, own choice, classical repertoire variation
Day 2 (morning)
Unset class and each competitor to perform his/her prepared, own choice, classical repertoire variation
Day 2 (afternoon)
Unset class and each competitor to perform his/her prepared, own choice, classical repertoire variation
SELECTED SOUTH AFRICAN CANDIDATES’ ACCEPTANCE TO ATTEND THE CECCHETTI INTERNATIONAL-CLASSICAL BALLET COMPETITION AND SUMMER SCHOOL IN MANCHESTER, UK, 2011
Auditioned South African candidates who are selected to compete in the Cecchetti International-Classical Ballet Competition, Manchester, UK in 2011 are required to submit written notification, no later than 21st February 2011, of their acceptance to attend the above.

CYRIL BEAUMONT BURSARY AWARD COMPETITION
The Cyril Beaumont Bursary Award Competition will be held in December 2011 at Hilton College, Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal during the week of the National Summer School.
Competitors will be required to be resident at Hilton College for the duration of the National Summer School and to fully participate in all Level III classes and events at the National Summer School.
Registration and Cocktail Function: Sunday, 4 December 2011
Finals (open to the public): Friday, 9 December 2011
National Summer School concludes: Saturday night, 10 December 2011
Closing date of entry: 29 April 2011
Entry fee: R500.00
